SmartCalc is developed and published by Chivlev Apps, an app development unit of Chivlev Studio.

Chivlev Studio respects the privacy of SmartCalc users. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the SmartCalc mobile application.

SmartCalc has been designed so that most calculations are performed directly on your device without requiring an account or the submission of personal information.

1. Information We Collect

SmartCalc does not require users to create an account or register to use the application.

SmartCalc does not intentionally collect personal information such as your name, residential address, phone number, passwords, banking credentials, credit or debit card details, or government identification information through its calculator features.

Most SmartCalc functions operate locally on your device.

Calculations performed using SmartCalc's calculator features are generally processed locally on your device.

3. BMI Calculator and Health-Related Inputs

SmartCalc includes a BMI Calculator that may use values such as height, weight, and a selected gender option to perform the calculation and display related visual information.

These values are processed locally on your device for the purpose of generating the BMI result and related display information. SmartCalc does not intentionally transmit these BMI calculation inputs to Chivlev Studio or Chivlev Apps.

BMI is a general screening measure and does not represent a medical diagnosis or a complete assessment of health, body composition, body fat distribution, or fitness. SmartCalc does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

Users should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional for medical or health-related concerns.

4. SIP Calculator and Goal Planner

SmartCalc includes investment calculation tools such as the SIP Calculator and SIP Goal Planner.

Depending on the tool being used, users may enter information such as:

SmartCalc does not intentionally transmit these investment calculation inputs to Chivlev Studio or Chivlev Apps.

SIP and goal-planning calculations are illustrative estimates based on the inputs and assumptions entered by the user. Investment returns are not guaranteed and actual results may differ due to market conditions, fees, taxes, investment products, timing, and other factors.

SmartCalc does not recommend specific investments, securities, financial products, or investment strategies.

5. Currency Converter

SmartCalc includes a Currency Converter that uses an internet connection to obtain current exchange-rate information.

The Currency Converter uses the Frankfurter exchange-rate API.

When SmartCalc requests an exchange rate, the selected source and destination currency codes, such as USD and INR, are included in the request to the exchange-rate service.

The monetary amount entered by the user is processed locally within SmartCalc and is not intentionally transmitted by SmartCalc to the exchange-rate API.

Currency rates displayed by SmartCalc are provided for informational purposes only. Actual rates offered by banks, card issuers, foreign-exchange providers, financial institutions, or money-transfer services may differ and may include fees, charges, commissions, or margins.

6. Offline Exchange-Rate Storage

SmartCalc is designed to provide limited Currency Converter functionality when an internet connection is unavailable.

After a successful online exchange-rate request, SmartCalc may save the latest exchange rate and the time at which it was retrieved on your device.

This information is stored locally using application preferences and is used to provide an offline fallback.

This cached exchange-rate information is not intentionally transmitted to Chivlev Studio or Chivlev Apps.

Clearing SmartCalc's application data or uninstalling the application may remove locally stored information.

7. App Preferences and Local Storage

SmartCalc may store certain application settings and preferences locally on your device to provide and improve application functionality.

Depending on the features being used, locally stored information may include application preferences, theme preferences, sound settings, recently used calculator information, calculation history where applicable, and cached exchange-rate information.

Such information is intended to remain on your device unless a feature specifically requires communication with an external service.

8. Internet Access

SmartCalc uses internet access for features that require online information, particularly the Currency Converter.

Most calculator functions are designed to operate without an internet connection.

Internet connectivity may also be required when you choose to open external webpages or services from SmartCalc.

9. Third-Party Services

Certain SmartCalc features depend on third-party services.

Frankfurter Exchange-Rate Service

SmartCalc uses the Frankfurter API to retrieve exchange-rate information.

When using the Currency Converter, a network request is made to this external service. As with internet-based services generally, the service provider and its infrastructure providers may process technical information associated with network requests in accordance with their own policies and practices.

Chivlev Studio does not control the independent privacy practices of third-party services.

10. Contact Support and Feedback

SmartCalc provides options to contact support and submit feedback.

When you select these options, SmartCalc may open an email application installed on your device with certain information pre-filled, such as the recipient email address, subject, app version, build number, or suggested message.

SmartCalc does not automatically send these emails.

If you voluntarily send an email to Chivlev Studio or Chivlev Apps, information you choose to include in that email, as well as your email address, may be received and used for purposes including:

11. Sharing SmartCalc and Calculation Results

SmartCalc provides sharing features that use the sharing functionality available on your device.

When you choose to share SmartCalc or a calculation result, your device's sharing interface may allow you to choose another application or service.

SmartCalc only shares the information that you choose to send through the device's sharing interface.

Any third-party application selected by you may process information according to its own privacy policy and terms.

Chivlev Studio and Chivlev Apps do not control the privacy practices of independently operated third-party applications.

12. Advertising and Analytics

SmartCalc does not currently include third-party advertising functionality.

SmartCalc also does not currently use a dedicated third-party analytics SDK for behavioural advertising or cross-app tracking.

If advertising, analytics, or similar technologies are introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.

13. Financial and Calculation Disclaimer

SmartCalc is a general-purpose calculation application.

Results provided by SmartCalc, including GST, EMI, SIP, goal-planning, percentage, currency, and other calculations, are provided for general informational and convenience purposes only.

SmartCalc does not provide financial, investment, banking, accounting, tax, insurance, legal, or professional financial advice.

Expected investment returns entered into SmartCalc are assumptions chosen by the user and do not represent guaranteed, assured, recommended, or predicted returns.

Users should independently verify calculations and obtain appropriate professional advice where necessary before making important investment, financial, tax, business, or legal decisions.

14. Health Disclaimer

Health-related calculations displayed by SmartCalc, including BMI, are intended for general informational and educational purposes only.

SmartCalc is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, prevention, monitoring, or clinical advice.

BMI does not account for all factors that may affect an individual's health or body composition, including muscle mass, age-related factors, body-fat distribution, medical conditions, or other individual characteristics.

Users should seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional where medical guidance is required.

15. Data Security

SmartCalc is designed to minimize the collection and transmission of user information. Most calculations are performed locally on the user's device.

However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should avoid providing unnecessary sensitive or confidential information when interacting with external applications or services.

16. Children's Privacy

SmartCalc is a general-purpose calculator application and is not specifically designed to collect personal information from children.

SmartCalc does not knowingly request personal information from children through its calculator functionality.

If Chivlev Studio becomes aware that personal information has been provided inappropriately, reasonable steps will be taken to address the matter as appropriate.

17. External Applications and Websites

Certain SmartCalc features may open external applications or websites, including email applications, sharing services, web browsers, app stores, and third-party services.

Once you interact with an external application, website, or service, that third party's privacy policy and terms may apply.

Chivlev Studio and Chivlev Apps are not responsible for the privacy practices of independently operated third-party applications, services, or websites.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to SmartCalc, applicable requirements, technologies, or third-party services.

When material changes are made, the updated Privacy Policy will be made available through SmartCalc's Privacy Policy link and/or its official Privacy Policy webpage.

The Last Updated date at the top of this policy will indicate when the policy was most recently revised.
